Rihanna Singles Rate

Thank God All of the Lights is out. I can't see why everyone's praising it and it's getting on my nerves. I'd place Pon De Replay higher than some of her later singles, but the average is about right.

I'm surprised it's gone so soon, but at this point, everything is so strong, it's hard to see anything going.

(I'm no longer going to qualify my sentences with "except S&M". I feel that's a given at this point).

Pon de Replay and All of the Lights are 2 of her best songs. I can't believe they're gone before say Unfaithful.

I love unfaithful. Rihanna should rerecord it though since her vocal are a lot better than when she first sang that song

Wow Pon De Replay is out early, I thought it was really liked! That's kinda sad, there's far worse in her discography *coughs* Hate That I Love You *coughs*.

Excuse me but how the fuck does this all work? Can I still vote? I just wanna vote to give S&M a big fat fucking 0.

Well if there's one thing this forum has taught me, it's that I have some kind of memory issue!

OK y'all, we're into the Top 15 and here is the result you've all (well at least 90% of you) been waiting for...

15. S&M (7.28)

Released as the third single from Loud, this single went on to recieve mixed reviews with reviewers complimenting Rihanna's strong vocals but some calling it "attention seeking" and "try hard". The song itself, drew much criticism for it's explicit content with many radio stations banning the song, and Radio One infamously renaming the song to "Come On". The music video featured Rihanna in a number of sexual scenarios and outfits and features celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, as a dog. Allegations of plagiarism surfaced, involving the video's striking similarity to past Vogue Italia shoots ranging from 1995-2002 by David LaChapelle, which led to LaChapelle suing Rihanna for "Unspecified damages". The song went on to reach the Top 10 in 12 countries worldwide, charting at #3 in the UK and #1 in the US, with the aid of a remixed version featuring the guest vocals of Britney Spears, in the only notable feature of her career.

Only feature bar that one she did with K-Fed!

I don't get all the hate against S&M, I do kind of love it. But there is better in Rihanna's discography.

Oh God Yes! Edited, haha.

I just don't understand how this song can receive hate. It's my second favourite Rihanna song (behind Cold Case Love). I've lost all hope.

I was actually quite surprised it did so well when you consider that it gets infinate amounts of hate and Pon De Replay seemingly gets none. As peole have said though, it has the effect of being the current single.
