Rina Sawayama - Hold The Girl

I kept trying and got through again eventually, as it’s a big bank. Only for the payment provider to block after too many tries. Credit card also declined somehow. So I created a new account and I got through again, and rushed to my Mum to have her pay with another bank and I got in.

Non-Chosen Family comes through!!!

Sorry to hear about your stress... Glad you got through eventually!

She did great, but is the mix weird for anyone else? The barely there backing track and the band sounding like they’re not even mic’d? Sucks the energy out of the performance.

I think the staging for Frankenstein needs a bit more oomf. There needs to be more choreography in the chorus before the post chorus bit. Also the post chorus choreo doesn't go off enough to warrant it repeating so often.

The tour poster has specific dates with Lauren Aquilina - not all of them have an opener.

Found the tweet!

Thank you! Ugh I WISH we got Lauren. It ended up being a DJ, pretty standard.

She went on at 9:15, and LORD what a damn show. I'm a fairly new pixel, really dove in when This Hell came out and every single pre-release singles clicked with me, honestly the whole Hold The Girl album is one of my faves this year so I really wanted to see her. WHAT a show, she put 110% into every. single. song. It felt like each song was it's own set entirely and she absolutely sold every song in that set list. Even my friend I went with, who's in the music industry and was only really familiar with This Hell, was like "holy shit this is unreal. She needs to be nominated for Best New Artist". Crowd was so lively and passionate, the vibes were amazing, so glad I got to see it

She was really great, great stage presence, phenomenal vocals, and the choreo...

Bad Friend went OFF more than any other song on the setlist? A little shocking because the crowd was overwhelmingly local (none of the people around me knew the words to Frankenstein???). The setlist was overall pretty slick and most worked, but could've done with Paradisin' somewhere in the first section so there was something from the first album in every section, Free Woman in the Lucid/Beg For You section, Cherry between Beg for You/Comme Des Garcons, and a proper interpolation of X-Static Process on Send My Love to John for the true faguettes--but was all-around a surprisingly strong show.

Can you post the setlist? We are going tonight! Also read somewhere that she came to the stage after 9pm so that is perfect because it will give us plenty of time to get to the venue after work and from NJ! :)
