I would be more hyped about him if the possibility of something like “La Tortura” 2.0 was real here, but Manuel Alejandro is hardly going to pen such a track, and I would much rather get Rosalía belting away on her own if that is the kind song we (are very like to) end up getting. But anyway! This is an easy smash based on the names of everyone involved.
It's her more complex I would say, I didn't get it in my first few listens, it actually took a long time.
I don’t know if that makes sense but I had to use all my brainpower to properly enjoy the debut since I’m not a very good Spanish speaker and I found the lyrics harder to understand than her two follow ups.

Oh, I don't know anything about his personal life. I got the ick when he was super popular 10-20 years ago and you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing his voice or turn on the TV without seeing him patting himself with the palm of his hands. Maybe he looks really glum all the time now in that case, but I've been avoiding him for years...

Manuel Alejandro said in an interview the song is a dialogue between Rosalia and Ale Sanz which lived a separation a few months ago.
We love to see it, specially for the haters acussing her to want to be in Hollywood and enter the US market after the breakup and new relationship. One step more to show she moves by artistic needs, not that she needs it.
