RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars 10 (May 9)

I couldn't even muster a smile during the entirety of that snatch game. It's so redundant. Made up characters like big foot, cupid etc shouldn't be allowed. As well as impersonating another queen.

All Lana had to do was make Rosa Parks ghetto and Ru would have lapped it up, that's how ridiculous the challenge has become.

Awful awful episode.

I wasn't necessarily invested in Crystal as a reality TV persona I also knew from the spoilers that she was an early out, but it was still jarring to see her go considering she was one of the...5 competent drag queens who had a range of skills on this season?

It seemed like she was cast to be filler and then ended up outperforming most of the girls they marked to go far...so production decided to pack her up the moment they got the chance. If that was the case, good for her for approaching this competition in earnest and putting forward a good showing and garnering good will and support in the process when that wasn't mapped out for her.

It was a gag for me because it felt like she was a top 4 contender based on the constant high placements and almost winning a couple of times. I thought the producers would want her around for the possible meltdowns.

Yeah, I've been kind of on the fence with this season up to this episode, but this week pulled into sharp relief just how... chronically unable a lot of this cast is. I think Crystal is good; not great, not a finale botherer, but was probably going to be far more entertaining than the likes of Kori/Lana/Arietty, who are just painful in challenges. I don't know where the value in keeping Lana is found.

I think this is a workroom cast, sadly. Riotous and unfiltered and bitchy but God, nothing backs it up. Onya and Suzi are good in these comedy challenges but frequently look rough, Lydia has no taste, Arietty is beautiful but God help us if she has to do anything but wear clothes, Lexi probably has the best wardrobe brought from home this season but is also kind of annoying (her top placement was a slap in the face this week). I don't know what Kori does outside of being a bitch in the confessional chair, and I don't know what Lana does. End of sentence. The show has been on a bit of an upward swing since Season 14 so it's sad to see things peter out a bit, but they cast too many children this season.

Jewels Sparkles being a low-key all-rounder is a pleasant surprise. I think she'll get more likeable the more allies she loses.

Obsessed with the crummy rollup.
