RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars 10 (May 9)

Onya rightfully won but her runway looked like she was wearing a plain white t shirt from ASOS with some rhinestones added.

Giving Lexie a high placement for doing the so good it’s bad thing, when we’ve had several of those before… they were like we want this girl to be seen as a front runner we need to come up with something quick.
Her runway was probably the most successful conceptually in terms of references, I think.

I’m still pissed at this week’s result. I kinda expect this out of pocket judging and result with Canada, but why is Lana still there oh my GOD?!!!!

Crystal deserved to stay based on her track record alone. Crunchy snatch game as usual. Gone are the days of queens actually putting out a good performance on this archaic challenge. It’s time to let it die.

I agree Snatch Game has been diminishing returns for years now but I still wouldn’t want to see it retired.

Shit challenges are par for the course! Every season has at least two or three (or eight or nine if you’re Season 13). I’d rather the show continued to have some form of staple litmus test for a queen’s ability to come prepared with a choice that’s considered, can play to their strengths and understand what will work in the room, but also inversely test their ability to be off the cuff and roll with the punches.

I think that theory works less well this year when like 70% of this cast couldn’t crack an impromptu joke to save their lives, but I maintain it’s arguably still the best challenge at cutting the wheat from the chaff, precisely because it’s a staple at this point.

We dog on queens for not knowing how to sew - which yes, stupid - but in the same way, somebody preparing a terrible choice six months beforehand and completely bombing in the room? Jail.

100%, Snatch Game is bad when the queens aren't multifaceted, experienced entertainers.

Did anyone else notice the bit in Untucked when the editing of Suzie talking was so poor that Kori’s hat appeared on Suzie's head for a bit and then vanished again? i thought the point of the editors was to make sure it WASN'T obvious that they’ve spliced a bunch of different clips of a queen speaking out of order to create a specific narrative…

Snatch Game can be prepped well in advance, which is the most frustrating thing for me as a viewer when you get an episode which is almost front to back poor like this.

They all will run in circles where there'll be at least one genuinely funny queen (or actual comedian) they can tap up to sit down with for advice, or pay to write some actual gags with to pepper throughout the game. Really nailing even just a few funny bits in advance means nowadays you'll immediately be better than half of them.

The actual answers themselves are redundant as long as you're steamrolling it with good lines or a fleshed out character.

It did irritate me when Suzie’s diatribe basically came down to “but my impression was perfect whereas Onya’s wasn’t a flawless impression of Eddie Murphy”. Tamar, have you watched the show? It’s not the Celebrity Impressions Game.
