RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 8 + General Discussion

She/Her/Queen
I just saw via Bussy Kween’s YouTube video that they announced on Twitter that they won’t appear, citing that they’d rather focus on their transition than compete. I’m finding it suss that both Victoria Scone and now Kornbread are not returning to their seasons, despite being initially offered a spot.
This is indeed very SUSS…

I have to say, I will miss Jasmine Kennedy, our Brave Little Toaster of Drag.

She was such good tv. The others remaining don’t give as much good tv.

I love Willow but they’re not doing much with her other than the ‘she doesn’t want to reveal her strengths’ edit.

Neither were ever offered a spot at any point. Ru said on the show for both Eureka and Veronica that they were invited back the next season but didn’t for either Victoria or Kornbread. Both of them injured themselves unnecessarily, it wasn’t a result of production being negligent like with Eureka. I think it’s pretty obviously due to insurance liability and not nefarious reasons.

I hadn't thought about this before. That cheerleading challenge Eureka injured herself in was overly ambitious and I'm surprised there weren't more injuries.

If I recall, several of the girls were injured in the cheerleading challenge - just not to the extent of Eureka's.

I mean with Victoria when the episode was filmed definitely and I think even when it aired the show hadn't been renewed for Season 4 of UK so they were possibly playing safe by not committing to anything either way.

It's a shame but I'm sure she will be on some kind of Drag Race Vs the world or All Stars in the future.

Silky was a delight on the Pit Stop! Hilarious and interesting analysis. You could tell Monet had rapport with her as well unlike Katya and Adore.
The queens of color almost always have rapport bc… bc.

I love especially Black queens interacting bc they come into the franchise with similar expectations and emerge with similar experiences. They highlight how much Blackness is never regional, it’s expansive!

The pit stops have been really on an off this season. The Katya and Adore ones were..awkward. The former mainly because it didn't seem like she'd seen any of the episodes. Brooke Lynne and Alaska's episodes were the best for me this season
