RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 8 + General Discussion

That's probably because Real Friends of WeHo will have ended its flop run and vacated the timeslot
I’ve just read that this was always planned, the two episodes before cigs of Weho started were 90 minutes too, so it makes sense that they were always going to be 90 minutes at that point.

I think editing the episodes takes so long that they wouldn’t have had the time to re-edit them all now.

I cannot believe a group of adults sat in a board room and collectively agreed any demographic would want to watch those 30-something circuit gays mince around Hollywood in plaid trousers like they have somewhere to be. At least Natalie Nunn and the Zeus network have their friends of dorothy fighting to the death!

I thought last weeks episode was a kii. Ru forcing the Old Gays to stand in that notoriously freezing work room in nothing but a pair of budgie smugglers. She really said there's only room for ONE old queen in this area code... now perish!

Malaysia mopping the floor with Marcia in Untucked was a moment most please. I'm enjoying how everyone in the cast is slowly starting to feel essential and the drift wood are actually disappearing down stream into early out oblivion. Jax and Aura double elimination when

It's actually kind of funny that the Drag Race producers thought that by going to MTV they would get a lot of good attention and kudos, but it's mainly just pissed the fans off. The definition of hubris.

I'm pretty positive the episodes were ALWAYS going to return to 90 minutes on that day, as it is the week after WeHo ends anyways, but now they're staging it as a fan-demanded gift to appease us. Very transparent. It honestly wouldn't have been AS bad this whole time if they were releasing bonus clips online or something to make up for it. In the Logo days when the episodes were 60 minutes they would put up bonus clips on the website with extended workroom walkthroughs and such. That would've been an easy way to appease the fans... But.. Whatever!

MTV and VH1 and Logo are all owned by the same company, so i'm sure when looking at scheduling -- MTV just has like really no quality original programming that is bringing people in. Drag Race is a huge juggernaut of a competition reality show so it was smart to bring it in. They just got way too ambitious in wanting to also launch a reality show that they thought Drag Race viewers would like too. And they were dead wrong AND they shortened Drag Race to make it happen... Big mistakes! But if there's one thing about Drag Race fans it's that if they don't like something, they WILL let you know.

I thought Raja had been pretty soft on Fashion Photo Review for a while now but she's been going in this season.

I wonder if competing on All Winners recently has subconsciously made her less willing to give a soft toot to mediocrity. Or maybe a lot of the runways this season are just so bad that even a mellowed out Raja can't hide her disdain.

Last week’s episode was such a blur, I can’t remember if I actually watched it or fell sleep sksks.

can’t wait for longer episodes when my interest mostly dries up at the tail end of the season!
