RuPaul's Drag Race (Original Franchise)

He/him
Thing is, I'm not trying to defend Loosey, because I already said I don't particularly enjoy her. So all the posts saying people are rushing to defend the white queen and criticise the black queen are total fucking bullshit.

We can say that someone is behaving like an asshole without it being anything to do with their ethnicity. Jesus.

It also doesn't mean I don't really enjoy Luxx (and Mistress) overall, which I do. They both deserve to get as far as they have. It's only those bits that have been deliberately highlighted in the edit that I've not enjoyed.

He/him
True. I'll say no more about it.

On the subject of the rusical though, I watched it again (it is indeed excellent) and I actually thought Sasha was one of the weaker ones. Which might have been more to do with the part itself being just shit. Her runway definitely saved her, whereas Salina's really fucked her (because she was excellent in the rusical).

Some people really can’t see a white lady acting distressed without immediately jumping to her defense and it’s wild.
Lucy lied, Mistress called her out on it and Lucy doubled down instead of admitting to the truth. Notice how Lucy started acting all offended the moment Mistress started reading the characters’ descriptions? Hmmmm wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that reading the blurbs aloud would further expose Lucy’s reasoning for wanting to play heaven as 100% pure unadulterated bullshit, since their personalities were nothing alike.

it’s not that serious, Loosey isn’t duty bound to say why she wanted the role. If it’s because it’s the lead, thats fine. If its because she relates to it in some way, that’s fine, if it’s a mix of the two, that’s fine. I don’t get this idea that even if it is the former (just because it’s the lead) it’s some sort of crime she has to be honest about and admit to? Sorry that she wants… to shine?

that said, I think besides a couple of small crosses of the line, Mistress and Luxx have for the most part been poking Loosey with tongue in cheek, sure maybe a bit c***y but mostly ‘cutting up’ as drag queens do.

I am really looking forward to return from Loosey when she’s realised that this is draaaag and should be approached with fun! (I understand it is a high pressured situation but if she approaches it with a new lightness she could slay AND that’s her storyline sorted!)

Yep, that’s the point, it is not a big deal and there is no reason for Lucy to fabricate reasons for wanting the main role. We’ve been shown repeatedly that Mistress and Luxx’s gripe with Lucy is that she doesn’t own up to her feelings and to what she really wants. Had she just said she wanted Heaven cause it was the protagonist and she wanted to show the judges she is THE musical theater gal of the season, things wouldn’t have escalated. Instead she lied, got called out, doubled down on the lie and then whined about being called fake when she was indeed being fake.

I’m sorry but how is Loosey saying “I want the role that I think I would shine the most” in any way shape or form a lie or fabricating reasons dddd. She’s (in her mind) a musical theatre leading lady type of girl and it’s the lead role.

Anetra said on Instagram that her first option for Snatch Game was Kristen Wiig... I would love to see a deleted scene about how she and RuPaul came to the decision about her doing Gordon Ramsay's fake sister dd

“So who’ve you got theeeere?” *points at wig-*
“Kristen Wiig!”
“…ok do a bit of your Kristen!”
[does Bridesmaids quote. Ru doesn’t react]
“What about Gordon Ramsey’s fictional sister?” *screams at own idea*

There you go.

She/Her/Queen
Those last two episodes of Race Chaser were a HOOT.

Willam casually calling one of the producers from WoW out for attempting to censor her at a show Mistress was at and saying Mistress stole some queen's suitcase which turned out to be full of PANTIES only?

And "Let Loose!" on the soundboard? I AM DECEASED.

I... am totally on Mistress and Luxx's side with Loosey. It couldn't be more obvious that she's gearing towards trying to present herself as a congenial sweetheart but is doing a terrible job of hiding the competitive, more ruthless side of her personality. BUT I also think her reaction is authentic because I think she's construing them calling out her behaviour as her being a straight up liar rather than them calling out the fact that she's clearly trying (and failing miserably) to hold back parts of her personality that would... probably make the girls gel with her more. I can't at her trying to win the main role by saying she identified with it the most like these paper-thin scripts have anything to latch onto. I was also screaming at her saying she designed her costume head to toe... when there was no costume past the waist.

I don't know; she's just so prim and precious and humourless and brittle, and honestly, unlikeable. She would be having an easier time with these girls if she actually clapped back rather than dramatically cracking whenever they make eye contact with her. During filming she probably incorrectly read a lot of Mistress and Luxx's traits as not resonating with the audience, so she decided not to play, when in fact the opposite is true and she's kind of playing herself.

You can also see that outside of these interactions she's clearly at least cordial with the girls on set so this barely even clocks as bad Drag Race behaviour for me. Back in the day you had Raven and Tatianna tearing absolute chunks out of each other, Season 3's cast basically split in half and each side hated each other, Phi Phi and Roxxxy terrorising the winners of their seasons... and it was all great television. So I fully welcome the drama and this new generation of Drag Race pot stirrers. Daya Betty's spirit lives on!

I'm considering buying a "Let Loose" tshirt from Loosey. She takes Drag Race way too competitively and serious which has been amusing. But some girls wish they had the level of attention that whole thing has gotten. I've thought about some of Luxx's critique of her and like, I don't think being "generic" is even a bad thing. It's not going to win her Drag Race for sure, but I kind of like that she is just a standard ass drag queen.

When Daya Betty would get so worked up she would contemplate specific acts of violence in her confessionals
