RuPaul's Drag Race (S17) + All Stars 10 (May 9)

At least I could see the justification for Lexi getting praise this week - the ASMR section in the finished product was pretty decent? But I also do agree Lana didn’t deserve the bottom for her performance.

At least the winner was very clear & deserved!

The worst performance in the sketch...was Ross

Me when asked who should go home tonight and why:

Pretty much I would let Ross know that he is an untalented cunt and, um the critiques that he gave me were not something that I would have particularly given for myself. They were old Suzie Toot type of critiques, and, um I think that Ross is just a disgrace. He’s a disgrace to judges who are actually qualified and intelligent and, um he just doesn't have the vernacular he thinks he possesses. RuPaul lied to him several times and told him that he was hilarious, funny and entertaining and appealing and he’s nothing like that, he’s nothing of the sort.

I feel like the fans who aren't watching Untucked are definitely missing out the number of great Lexi moments we're getting.

"I can do two things at once, Samantha" is the kind of moment that makes her so watchable for me.

Lexi and Lana were clear safes. Jewels’ look was very cool but she deserved bottom placement over Lana based on the challenge.
Lana was definitely better than Jewels in the challenge but this goes back to something that bugs me about the format... the fact it's not clear at all whether the runways matter or not (and, if so, how much they matter). If we're saying it's a 50-50 split between the challenge and the runway, then there's no way in hell Jewels should have been lip-syncing, but we've also had a lot of episodes where it looks like Ru completely ignores the runway (in which case what's the point of the runway?!)

I personally think the challenge is what they consider as the main factor for deciding the tops and bottoms. Then the runway only matters if 2 queens performed on the same level and they can't decide between them.

Oh, I think that's almost certainly what they do... which doesn't seem fair to the amount of effort that a lot of these queens clearly put into choosing and customising their looks.

Lana didn’t deserve to be the bottom for the challenge but they also didn’t deserve to stay over Lydia in the lip sync lol. I’m annoyed because why is she still there?

The challenge was fine but I think it’s a forgone conclusion that Onya is taking this home with Sam Star being second place.

I cringed so hard at the lip sync wardrobe malfunction, but I’m glad we get to see more of Lydia soon.

Feeling like Untucked telegraphed how the rest of the season is gonna go.

My guess is Top 3: Onya, Sam, Lexi. Onya will win for being the most well-rounded, fully realized, and professional of the three. Sam will get a young/brat/inauthentic edit. Lexi will get a befuddled, happy-to-be-there edit.

Then I'd guess Lana out next, then Jewels, then high-performing Suzie right before the finale in true DR fashion.
