RuPaul's Drag Race (S17)

Fans have been saying they should ditch Snatch Game every season since at least Season 8, but I firmly believe it isn't going away, at least not as long as Ru is the host. It's exactly the kind of thing she loves and allows for her favorites (and sometimes the underdogs) to shine. Plus the crashouts are almost always excellent cringe television

I couldn’t imagine them ever getting rid of the makeover challenge. It’s too useful for the producers to kick out a strong performer before the final.

Their partner outshone them? They outshone their partner? They matched too much? They didn’t match enough? They matched the perfect amount but did a bad cheer/vogue-off/lipsync/whatever arbitrary addition was stuck onto this episode? Pick whichever one applies and you just got rid of your problem contestant.

There is nothing wrong with Snatch Game. The problem is they hype it up so much every season and place so much emphasis on its importance that the queens basically have a nervous breakdown and then either over or under deliver. It was much better in the earlier seasons when they were just riffing off of each other and having a giggle. It's not that serious.

There are so many queens who have been eliminated at this stage who easily could have won the challenge, just because they didn't fit the pre-conceived top 3/4 that the producers had in mind. It's my biggest bug bear. Cheryl being eliminated for one of the best make overs and keeping Bag Of Chips instead made me want to burn the set down.
