Err why would Plane use her potion on someone else if she does bad enough to be low? I’m curious to see how this episode plays out but the ~twists this season have been major flops.

Weren't people theorizing that Plane was gonna use her potion to sabotage Nymphia, i.e. making her leave the stage before being awarded the win? That seems more likely here.

I don’t understand why the potion would expire on a non-elimination episode, and why Jane would give it to Nymphia if she was low too?

Perhaps it is a non-elimination because she saves Nymphia? Because the opportunity for the potion is before any judging happens? Who knows.

What they should have done is name 1 winner in each of the first episodes. Or just have a lip sync for the win.

But have a bottom 2 lipsync with no one going home and give the winner of that the immunity potion.

Well then we probably would've ended up with Geneva having immunity and... eh. Wouldn't be worth it.

I can’t be bothered to work out exactly how it would’ve fared in terms of placements but if they wanted it to be a twist with any sort of impact, they should have just reintroduced immunity in the way they did between Seasons 2-5. If you win the challenge, you’re safe the following week and then from about the Top 8 mark declare there’s no more immunity.

Having this limp thread hang over the entire season when neither contestant with the power to use it has even come close to needing it has been a disaster.

The problem with this is that Drag Race casts such clear front runners that the ones that ended up with immunity would've been people who aren't going to be in the bottom anyways. The only people this would've saved is from the girl group joint win, because Geneva who went from a win to out, and Mhi'ya then was in the bottom with her.
I can't be bothered to remember who else would've been in the bottom for the Dollhouse design challenge then if not those two.

Anyways - long story short, the immunity is a bad twist.
