RuPaul's Drag Race UK

Might just be me being me, but I don't see any obvious early outs in this cast? Of course it's only been a week, when we see the design challenge it will likely separate a few from the pack.

Tuned into this today with Mother Mosaic and we are agreed that this is the best drag race season since UK2.
Dd I appreciate this comment is probably in regards to it being the best opener the show has had in years, but let's not count our chickens, as the UK has a habit of going off the deep-end midway through when they inexplicably cut all the favourites out in quick succession.

Tayce as a comparison is just not a good idea as Tayce will always do better.

Anyway Gina G was not the song for a Cara Melle - that elastic one from last years would kill it though!
I love Tayce as much as the next person, but having seen both her and Cara perform together (very often as a duo/trio) on a near-monthly basis between 2018-2020, I would say that Cara is genuinely very much as capable as a performer as Tayce. Both equally gifted at park and barks, but with up-tempos, Tayce leans more into Janet-style performing while Cara goes full-on Beyoncé.

It will very much depend on the songs at hand (Gina G in a gown was not it), but Cara is really up there with the best of the best I've seen over the years.

Very enjoyable premiere. There are enough great personalities in this cast to make a good season, so I hope the producers don't fuck it up. My only complaint about the first episode was the winner. They were probably the most forgettable/safe one in this cast.

I've seen Vicki Vivacious hundreds of times and had her perform at multiple venues I've ran and I've never heard her have a Cornish accent until this...which I get, you need something to make you stand out, but it did make it funnier when she seemed to forget about the accent towards the end of the episode too.

I could see the filming team telling them to do tricks like this skskkss esp after Lawrence Chenney's hit with Ru.

I am obviously extremely biased but as a Polish person I really loved and appreciated Alexis Saint Pete’s main runway look.

I didn’t really think much about the premiere though. It’s more of the same and I am so bored by the show’s format at this stage.
