S08E10 & 11 - Judges' Houses

Clearly Louis begged for his job this year and the only way he could get it was if he agreed to mentor the Overs and take Sinitta.

Louis doesn't need to beg for his job. He's a wealthy man who if was dropped tomorrow could retire and live a very comfortable life popping up on the odd RTE talent show.

He does X Factor because 1) he's asked to 2) he enjoys it 3) the money doesn't hurt.

He's the judge that does the show for the sake of the show and I like that he's quite uncomplicated and unpretentious like that. It doesn't have to be *serious face* all the time or *about the musiczzzz*. It's a light entertainment show.

Plus, Louis has had the overs or groups 7 series out of 8. And the one time he didn't he was the winning judge. So, to criticise his performance with that in mind is quite unfair. Again, he accepts that he's given these categories because he doesn't need to be appeased by being given a 'good' category. He does the show because he likes doing it.

I really don't think Louis is that bad of a mentor at all, he just gets the worst category every year.

'I'm gonna do something exciting... GIVE TERRY ALL THOSE WELL-KNOWN SONGS AND CLASSICS!!1!!'.

Is that a good mentor?

More Louis BS "where would Carolynne fit into the market maybe Country and Western"
a genre that has not been popular in the UK since the seventies.
He kept claiming he wanted a global popstar-Johnny, Kitty, Jonjo will all remain working mens club circuit if that.
He is a rubbish mentor and will have no acts by Week 5.

Louis really is nothing like how he comes across on this show - he has a great sense of humour and he's aware of how silly it can get.

I don't know what you mean... that's how he's always come across to me. I love him for it.

It wouldn't be fair, they need to keep the categories and their respective judges the same. I really want to see Kelly mentor Misha and Janet.

I had this really weird dream last night that the twist was that Kelly had left the show, Gary had been replaced wth Simon and Louis had been replaced by Johnny Robinson...

This is my first my first time watching this show, so tell me...if all of the singers from a judges category get eliminated, does the judge get 'eliminated' as well?

No, the Judge remains on the panel and is often referred to as 'impartial' (usually Louis) although this is never the case.
