Sabrina Carpenter - emails i can’t send

I don't like this last single as much as her songs in Singular Part 1 and Part 2, that's the truth.

Regarding the drama behind Skin, signing with Island Records and getting a hit single, I'm kind of sad since we won't know what was missing in her career to become successful, I mean, she had released so many bops with no mainstream success and now she is getting some success why? Because she left Hollywood Records? Because Island Records invested on her like Hollywood Records didn't? Or just because she transcended the music stuff with the "Disney" drama around her song and Olivia's?

I wished people could recognize her amazing songs before Skin, but not because of any controversy... Just letting the music do all the talking somehow.

Timing is everything with all pop stars. The success of someone else's song pulling her into the new age version of tabloid drama might not be the ideal way for her to really take off, but there's something to be said for capitalizing on it and making moves. I mean personally speaking, I knew who she was but I had no interest in her. Then her thread kept popping up on the front page and I knew she was somehow tied into the Drivers License drama so I clicked and lo and behold the song is great and she had some bops I didn't know about.

If 30 year olds who couldn't have cared less about her are tuning in then the plan is working.

Hollywood Records' radio team is barely competent and that was probably the one thing preventing her music from being everywhere. I had literally never heard of her until Almost Love and that was the only thing that was even pushed from Act I and II

And who listens to radio nowadays when you've got Spotify, Apple Music, etc.

I don't think the blame is on Hollywood Records.

Agreed it's not ideal but in a oversaturated sea full of popstars, influencers, tik tokers and what not, you gotta swim when the tide rises. In an ideal world she would've already been noticed by her talents but the silver lightning is that she has them, this 15 minutes of fame could very well be nothing for someone else, I want her to get it and then show everyone she deserves it.

I've been blasting Singular Act. I and II this past few days and whew! The range! Almost Love, Paris, Hold Tight and Sue Me are like a 5x punches in your face, Sue Me is my all time favorite song by her. In My Bed, Pushing 20 and Take Off All Your Cool are my highlights from Act II

It's a pretty video to look at but they could have made it more dynamic. Though they seem to have come up with this in such a short amount of time I'm actually impressed.
