What a weird comment. Saint Etienne made an ENTIRE ALBUM about pop music getting more valuable to you as you get older. Why on earth would they stop the pop now? They've always been a varied group.

The production on both of these is gorgeous.

I just saw that Daydream is a Sarah-penned song (with Mark Waterfield, of “A Good Thing” fame). I love the Sarah-written songs so much.

I'll enjoy the single (which sounds like a lush intro moment to me) in the context of a full album more I think. As a teaser, it's fully working. It's not a standalone peice though.

Ultra casual fan here as I've still not heard the last one, but loved Magpie Eyes from the one before that, which was kinda groovey.

I'm also excited! Both of these tracks sound like what I wanted "I've Been Trying to Tell You" to sound like. More Sarah, and at least a little bit of pop structure and style - kind of like Sound of Water, which I adore.
