I’ve just seen some of the posts about black vinyl being sent out to the wrong people, or duplicates, so now waiting on them being returned. Had been fairly relaxed about getting my order but I am rolling my eyes at a good old St Et direct selling shitshow.

It’s a bit of a mess isn’t it? There are only a couple of hundred black vinyl LPs anyway, so what if folk don’t send them back?

Maybe we’ll get another ”sorry we messed up” After The Rain EP.

I’ve contacted Sandbag to ask if my order is one of the ones affected and what the plan is if they can’t fulfill it.

Yes they noticed quite soon, before I’d opened the second package, so hopefully people will send back quickly and everyone will get it by release day

I got an email saying that a duplicate black vinyl has been sent by mistake and a return label. So far no show though (my order did arrive). We'll see.

My shipping confirmation came through at 8:30PM. I wonder if my vinyl went to someone else first.

I’ve given it a spin, and it’s pretty interesting. It’s honestly nothing like the last album. There’s a lot of string arrangements, and it all sounds quite orchestral. It’s sorta like Goldfrapp’s ‘Tales of Us’ filtered through a Peter Strickland movie soundtrack.

Just to add, returning the extra vinyl because quite the mission. The return label they emailed out has a barcode that doesn’t scan, so after trying 5 different drop off locations I had to give up and in the end just mailed it through the good old post office

It’s just magical, the whole thing. Like everything I didn’t warm to about the last one they nail here. I don’t think I could name a favourite album of theirs as I love so many but this is right up there for me. I actually got teary eyes walking the dog to The Nightingale Thai morning. It’s a really really beautiful album and one I think I’ll play all the time over winter. Especially as it’s now on streaming x

I was worried about this album but on my first listen it’s gorgeous, beautiful, I was wrong to be concerned.
