Samantha Mumba - Cool, Process and second album (2020)

A Nadine and Samantha banger would be amazing. I still can't get into this song, I appreciate it is of the same vein as the early Dawn Richard material but that was like fifteen years ago, I guess I was just expecting a pop banger so it's my own fault.

The video is actually better than I was expecting.

Although, I have to say that when I first heard the song the last concept for a music video I'd have imagined would have been Sam as a webcammer with Niall Horan wanking over her...

 

Why is this making me think of Ciara in 10 years?

Love Samantha, though. I asked her a question on a Top of the Pops chat about twenty years ago and she dragged me for filth!

 

The lace front on that videostill though...it’s not a bad video at all.

 

The video was better than I expected and the song is... okay.

 

That song is not it. I understand she is probably working with very little financially but the song is tuneless trash.

 

Not completely but it does sound 'messy', especially when that chorus comes in.

 

The song clicked after I watched the video. But I’m dumbfounded by the aesthetics. What is the thinking behind it?

 

Process is nice, much more laid back than Cool.

Process is substantially better than Cool.

 

Cool has grown on me but this new track is really lovely.

 

I'm really enjoying Process as well. Hoping for more songs like this (and a few bops).

 

"Process" reminds me of a JoJo song and I'm here for it.
