I've watched 3 episodes and I'm slowly falling in love; It's like Death Becomes Her meets Zombieland. Timothy Olyphant is the strongest link, sorry Drew.
This is not intended to be a kii, but I'm glad Drew is okay with herself aging naturally and doesn't get work done like most of her peers.
It gets so much stronger post episode 4, where all the story threads start to come together. However I'm kind of pissed at the ending. Whilst I had fun with it, I don't feel that we're guaranteed a second season. The last episode isn't very satisfying.
The first two episodes are the weakest, you really get a feel for the show by the third episode and get sucked into it's charm. It's fun and fluffy.
The first episode was so poorly written & acted, but the second episode was an improvement. I'm not sold on everything (the teens are a major weak link), but the first 2 made me smile enough to keep going. I'm certainly glad they're only 30 minute episodes; I was expecting them to be an hour long and there's no chance that would've worked.
I really want to watch this because I've always had a soft spot for Drew Barrymore, but the gore is putting me off.
I'm up to episode 8, it's entertaining, there are some really funny jokes, but I'm not sure I could see this running for more than one series and keeping me interested.
The final 5 minutes of the last episode are a biiiit of a let down, but everything else is brilliant. I can't remember the last time I laughed this much with a TV show.
This show has some amazingly deadpan moments. "Do you mean what we're having for dinner, or who?" "Whom." Best line.
This show was absolutely adorable. I watched the whole thing in one sitting. The ending is too abrupt but I guess there will be another season at least?
Yeah for me it's perfectly serviceable feel good TV, easy viewing, light hearted despite how dark the concept is and I enjoy the acting from Barrymore and Olyphant but I'm a bit like... eh? How will they spin it out? I think I've just got one episode left to watch and while I could easily watch another 10 episodes of it, I don't know if it'll hold my interest to wait for a second season.
Yeah, I finished it last night and was a bit disappointed with the finale. I know networks want multiple series out of shows, but I'm not sure the premise behind this show can sustain more than 1.5 (at 10 shows a series) seasons. It's a shame because I like the chemistry of the actors and characters, but tt's effectively one joke being dragged out. I'm not sure I'll be interested in waiting a year for another series.
