Except making Sam Billy's daughter was an excellent way to introduce a new lead and then retire Sidney and shift over to Sam. There were so many exciting avenues that they could have gone down with Sam as the lead, especially with her being the daughter of a serial killer who herself is stalked by same killer identity her father created. But no. They royally fucked that up and now look at what we have.

I disagree. I wasn’t a big fan of the Billy aspect of Sam. I think they handled it better in 6 than 5 but I always struggled with that. Between the hallucinations and weak killer motives of 5&6, I don’t think they utilized that twist as well as they could have.

Sam being Billy's daughter worked for me. It was good camp and the older I get the more I appreciate a more complex, darker final girl.

It wouldn't surprise me if we get a Dewey cameo with him talking shit to Gale. That could be emotional or really tacky.

We're only a few more sequels short of Scream vs Cocoon now.
