I do think the PR situation for this one is vastly different, and there's a lot of course-correction and controling of the narrative they're going to have to do with this one. So going for the nostalgia would be their (dumb) way to dangle a carrot to the fans.

Yeah they are desperate to draw in the audience with the nostalgia aspect. They'll get a healthy showing but it won't get anywhere near the box office of the last entry.
We're finally at the end of filming. Anna Camp wrapped last week and Neve, Isabel May and Joel McHale will wrap this week. According to Critical Overlord, the opening and finale were the first things filmed so I wouldn't read too much into these being the last 4 actors filming.

I don't think there's any chance of him being in the film. It sounded like he was just being polite on the red carpet.

I doubt he’d want to come back. His career is on the rise at the moment unlike the names attached to this movie. Why would be want to squander all that?
Sounds kinda like he is to be honest. I kinda feel a lot of the cameos are gonna be literally two seconds. Think a montage video footage with each Ghostface actor saying the next line. They could have them all hypothetically as long as the actors agreed for probably little pay. I really feel like Emma will be announced next.
I think Emma is a definite, just based on her liking Instagram comments about it. She never likes anything on IG so it’s strange that she liked them if she isn’t involved even for a cameo.
