I think you misjudge me quite severely. When have I supported anyone advocating for genocide? I fully, absolutely support Palestine. I don't know anyone who doesn't. So let's see bits of my quote again:
What part of that made it seem like I was on the other side? I recall being disappointed with your support of Katy Perry, Kim Petras and by extension, Dr Luke. I wanted to beg you to stop streaming Dr Luke music. I mean that. I wasn't sure why you would do that, support that man. But I also don't want to tell you what to do. I trust you'll make the right choice eventually.
I'll lock both Scream threads.
That’s what I have said but Horror Fans—especially the ones whose first franchise in real time was Scream—are rabid with the opinion that Sidney is Scream. A lot of the horror groups I’m in had members spout a critique of the last one that can be boiled down to “how dare you have a Scream movie without THEE Scream Queen” etc etc.I just can't see what there is to be excited about. Sidney's story was finished.
I mean, it kinda is. Her unknown half-brother who allegedly set the entire thing in motion was thwarted, then her niece tried to start shit again to become her but then was also thwarted. What else is there? Even her presence in 5 felt more like it was out of obligation (but, to be fair, happy she was there because the way she handled the Ghostface call was a series highlight. “I’m bored” *hangs up*)Her story is not over for me,

It's just a personal preference, I don't need a mathematic equation to decide for me. Laurie Strode's story was over but came back, that's the nature of horror films, if there been an arc, they create a new one. Scream is probably the only franchise to have been consistently great. The last one was good fun but it was the worse for me, it was even more Scooby Doo than Scream 3 (I love 3 though). There isn't an answer we all need to agree on, it's always going to be subjective.for me
Don’t start your shit, @Anjoel40 , just having a discussion over it—I genuinely don’t give a shit what you decide. My mistake thinking you were open to that. It's just a personal preference, I don't need a mathematic equation to decide for me.
That's was totally uncalled for. This is a discussion, not sure why you have reacted like that. My likes are bias, as are are everyone's. I am probably quite a but older than you, so my experience is very different. There are horror films, they don't need to be that deep. What is it that you expecting from this conversation.Don’t start your shit, @Anjoel40 , just having a discussion over it—I genuinely don’t give a shit what you decide. I misunderstood your reply (especially what I bolded) as being a reactionary one rather than a statement on its own. My apologies. That's was totally uncalled for. This is a discussion, not sure why you have reacted like that.
I don't think her story was finished, this is a franchise after all but I didn't want them to revisit her story so soon. I've always said the main protagonist in 7 should've been Gale and that was before Melissa was fired. Sam and Sidney's story was tied up but they hadn't properly explored Gale's grief losing Dewey and didn't answer any of the questions they introduced about her in 6.I just can't see what there is to be excited about. Sidney's story was finished.
This. Amongst my many thoughts about Scream 7 as a whole, I just don't think we really needed Sidney back. Her final scene of 5 "I'll survive, I always do" was a perfect ending. And all her scenes were about ending this for good. Obviously, she was never going to be able to end it forever, but I liked that it at least felt she was ending it for her own involvement.![]()
She hung up on Ghostface, she was done. She was protecting her girls and made it out. Now they are just going to once again drag her past back up to go over old ground.
