Melissa said she wanted Salma and now so do I.I mean, having Mrs. Carpenter in the next film would be an intriguing prospect, and I would love to know everyone’s dream casting for that role.

That’s interesting. I thought the therapist seemed a bit excited when talking to her. I was surprised it didn’t go anywhere.VA revealed a few interesting things that were deleted.
Laura’s date was Richie, not Reggie, and they used a pic of Jack Quaid. Roger Jackson voiced the entire call.
The hot/cold game went on a little longer.
The only fully deleted scene he’s aware of was Dermot standing with Quinn’s body. He ordered everyone off the scene and said he was the only person allowed to handle her. They avoided showing Quinn’s face in this scene, so it made it all far too obvious.
The writers/directors said the scenes with Sam’s therapist were a little longer where Sam discovered he was a weird horror fan.
And there was another moment with Kirby and Dermot where he told her about his dead son, and how his wife left him. He then asked Kirby if she had ever been married, and she said she’s ‘one and done’, so she’s divorced.
Apparently there’s very little cut.
Yeah he seemed scared when he recognised Billy's name, and wanted her gone asap. I'm curious how that full scene would have played out now.Hm that is interesting cause as soon as she said her back story he wanted to get her out there.
Let’s talk about Sam’s therapist and those figurines around his office. Is he a horror buff?
Vanderbilt: We love the idea of, as she reveals who she really is and who her father is, that he’s intimately familiar with that and becoming more and more freaked out.
Bettinelli-Olpin: There’s a longer cut that deals with that even more. That was a much bigger part of his character. Now it’s all sort of subtext, but if you pay attention, you notice it. He’s watching “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” In the last shot when Sam walks out, you can see a Ghostface doll. The scene started with a tracking past all of the dolls, then you found Sam looking at that Ghostface thing like, “What the fuck world am I now?” It felt, for pacing reasons and — this is going to sound crazy — for believability, we needed to tone it down a little bit.

I think they’ll get an even bigger budget next film. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got 50/60 million to play with.If they could get Salma, that would be iconic, but I wouldn’t want her eating up the budget.
