I mean, they'd both been sliced and diced themselves at this stage and were absolutely fine and running around like they'd simply grazed their knees so why would they be worrying about Kirby?
Okay but now I need Scream 7’s opening kill to be centering around an off broadway production of Stab 7 starring Miss Gillian
I feel like the next film will kill people off. I think 6 was a unique case especially after rewatching 5. When I rewatched 5, I felt like we truly just met the Core Four. Their personalities weren’t fully developed nor was their chemistry because that movie had so much ground to cover.
6 took the time to fully develop them (plus Kirby) and make us care about them. Now there’s no way they won’t kill at least one because the audience would be destroyed.

7 is going to clean the slate I think, ready for another trilogy in a few years. Mindy, Chad and Gale are certain surely, and I'd say Tara is on thin ice at this point too.
Although, with Neve potentially being out of the picture (which I'm kind of ok with now to be honest), maybe they need to keep Courteney as the returning name. Melissa absolutely killed it in 6 but her name isn't the big draw yet.

I kinda want Tara to die just to see Sam's reaction. She's literally taken out an entire family almost single handedly and that's without anyone close to her actually being killed. At this point anybody putting on a Ghostface mask and going within a 5 mile radius of her is just asking to be killed. Any chase scenes in Scream VII should be Ghostface running away from Sam, not the other way around dddd.

I don't think we're too far away from exactly that happening. Tara dying would send Sam into full berserker mode.
I do feel either Sam or Tara needs to die. From a story standpoint, I could see them killing Tara, but due to her popularity I feel they wouldn’t want to get rid of Jenna.
I also think Chad and Mindy are both strong enough among the Core Four to be repositioned as leads if needed. Both actors are building strong resumes outside of Scream.

I think in Scream 7 they should kill one of the twins, one of Sam or Tara (after Scream 6, preferably Tara) and Josh Segarra. If they have to kill a legacy character, kill Kirby rather than Gale, but don’t give Gale another near death if she’s going to survive.
What I hope for is, mirroring Cotton in 3, have a previous character murdered in the opening. Doesn’t have to be one of the main characters, but maybe Martha (and the dad?) go to visit the kids and get murdered.
I feel like that would raise the stakes if they go into the killings losing someone they care about. Also, if you use Martha, that could also bring back Sidney as that’s a friend of hers and someone who is so kind and loved.

This movie sounds awesome. I wonder how long it will be until we hear any news on Scream 7. Considering the writer's strike and how booked and busy the cast has become, I don't mind waiting a while. It's good to build anticipation and make it feel like an event rather than something that gets pumped out every year because they have the IP rights. They've done such a good job of invigorating the franchise so far though, so it kind of feels like they could do anything going forward, which is so cool to think of for a 25+ year old franchise.
They could probably kill Kirby off in 7. She could be the opening kill. I was happy to have her back but if they aren't going to really use her further it makes sense. Then at least one of the core 4 should snuff it and possibly Gale and then just leave us with Sam, Tara and Mindy? Or even kill off both twins and just have the two sisters surviving. It's tricky because if they do a 7 and it's a massive hit are they really going to want to end it and leave it there by killing everyone off? But then are Melissa and Jenna going to want to keep returning? Likelihood is they'll just reboot it again a few years later with new characters (now they know people will go see these movies without the original cast).
