It would be interesting to see how they bring Sidney back into the fold.

Definitely a change from the instant denial when asked about Scream 6.

I do wonder if they’d show us Mark at some point.

If he's up for it, they definitely would I think. I mean, they brought back Martha Meeks who was in Scream 3 for like, 30 seconds.

Patrick Dempsey hasn't done much acting since he left Grey's Anatomy so a cameo would be quite cool, if they have the power to do it. Neve and Patrick were brother and sister on that show for a few episodes. They go way back.

Remember that rumor a few months ago about Radio Silence not returning? Spoiler accounts are starting to talk about that more. Apparently the decision was made long before the strikes and looks like the Christopher Landon rumors could be true.

Of course nothing will be announced until both strikes are over and things could change, but I’m not mad if it happens. We would presumably have the same writers and Landon’s background gives me confidence in his ability to direct a suspenseful Scream follow up.

I really don't think anyone would follow the Scream 3 mould ever.

I still say Scream 3 was good. The big thing that let them down (and it would’ve been the same for Kevin) is that they couldn’t show any gore. I thought they adapted well to creating more of a thriller and I will forever say that was Neve’s best performance and Sidney’s best arc.

I really hope he is able to kick it up MULTIPLE notches in terms of the dark tone. Happy Death Day and Freaky are great in their own right but a bit too light for Scream.

I worry some cast members will drop out now as well, I can see Jenna being very difficult to get back; and she’s very important to the core of this “trilogy”. It would be weird having Sam back without Tara.

Same report on Bloody Disgusting so I guess it's almost official now. Apparently radio Silence were keen to return but were too busy with their monster movie and I guess Spyglass wants to strike while the iron is still hot.

I worry some cast members will drop out now as well, I can see Jenna being very difficult to get back; and she’s very important to the core of this “trilogy”. It would be weird having Sam back without Tara.

It’s going to be a challenge for them all. Melissa is also the star of said monster film, so they’ll have to figure that out as well.

It’s officially confirmed now but Radio Silence are staying on as Executive Producers.
Also sources say that all the actors are expected to return and have new deals once the strike is over.

If they remain as executive producers it makes me a bit more positive to be honest. Hopefully they will keep it feeling like it’s within the same tone.

I worry about the writing now too. Especially after they built up the core 4.

The same people are writing this, as far as we know. Pre-strike it was reported the script was ready and they were planning to shoot this fall. Of course that will change, but I don’t see why they’d throw the script out.
