Is it bad that I'm excited to hear it now? Dddd Edit: yeah I can see what you mean. Not sure if I like it though.
Boyfriend has a nice sound and she flows all over it, the beat reminds me of Kanye's Fade a bit Souvenir sounds cool too, She is a bit forgettable (the song, and her too LOL) These new songs weren't really necessary, but thanks for them I guess
The best thing about "Boyfriend" is its sample and that's it. Edit: Wait. If it does sample "Mystery Of Love," why doesn't Mr Fingers appear in the writing credits?
My super deluxe playlist of this album kind of knocks with the new songs to be honest... Spoiler: Rare Super Deluxe Rare Dance Again Look At Her Now Souvenir Boyfriend Fetish (feat. Gucci Mane) Stained Wolves (with Marshmello) Lose You To Love Me It Ain't Me (with Kygo) Vulnerable Taki Taki (with DJ Snake et. al) Ring She Feel Me (Demo Version) People You Know Let Me Get Me Back to You Crowded Room (feat. 6LACK) Kinda Crazy Bad Liar Fun I Can't Get Enough (with Benny Blanco and J Balvin) Cut You Off A Sweeter Place (feat. Kid Cudi)
Because post-album singles don’t really do anything in the streaming era, so if you want another hit after the album is out you put out some new material and tack it on to the album.
I am confused as to why she refuses to tack on Bad Liar, Fetish, Wolves, Back To You, and It Ain't Me. She'd have nearly the most streamed female album, and all of those being stand-alone singles is annoying.
I genuinely don't mind this deluxe version of the album. All songs could be handled with more finesse by another artist but it all bops a bit and maybe I'm just depressed enough for that to be okay!
Boyfriend and Souvenir are both great and a lot more interesting than the rest of the album. Some of those vocals though... I swear she never sounded this bad.
The way her A&R just up and said "see ya" after Revival. It's honestly baffling just how fucking boring every track from this project is.
