Shakira - "El Jefe" + General Discussion

#53 has been removed from Spotify due to that plagiarism lawsuit. Poor Shaki. She needs that coin to pay her tax court fees!
I don't think it has anything to do with plagiarism? From what I could find, the reason why it was gone for a few hours is that the copyright changed; before it was only released under Dale Play Records, and now Sony Music has been added too, indicating that it might end up on Shakira's album as well.

Either way, it's bizarre that it was gone for hours and her (and Bizarrap's) label didn't immediately react.

Absolutely not.

Quevedo's session was basically inescapable last summer.

And he also helped Villano's career with a boost:

Shakira was smart to record with him seeing that he's basically Midas at this point.

Once again my Americanness is showing. I do think the more GP crossover, especially in English speaking markets, are derived from the gossip around Shakira but as always Shaki is a businesswoman so she knew teaming up with him was genius

Bizarrap offers the platform, like The X-Factor, The Voice, early morning and late night shows, BBC Live Lounge etc do or once did.

But Shaki is the talent and the one who sustains the exposure into lasting success.

Oh wow. It seems like things are moving in the background.

''Are you telling me your Hips don't lie?'' Oh Jimmy, this is why I like you.

What a pleasant interview! And the performance was really nice, how she went in the crowd.

What an ignorant post, trying to bring down Bizarrap, he actually produced the song you know? And helped to write it.

Once again, without Bizarrap, the song wasn't going to be this big, he is part of the success, it's not his first hit either.

It's the combination of both, Shakira says it, everybody knows it. Stop with this please when you don't know his carreer and the context.

He/him
It's such an incredible feeling having her have this moment. Lovely to see her being gracious and so complimentary of BZRP on the couch and giving him space to speak too. The crowd going wild and spitting every lyric was everything.
She acknowledges that people are connecting to the song and knows why so - more of this authentic songwriting please.

14 Guinness records broken?! Dio!!
