Shakira - Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran

Didn't she also have a bad break up with the Argentinean guy? I don't think she really spoke about that much or put it in her music, in the way she's doing now.

I think her being open about her hurt and putting in the music is so refreshing, it's helping to see her as an artist with something to say rather than just doing through the motions of her last few efforts.

She kind of cheated on him with Piqué so yeah, she wasn't going to say a lot about that dddd

I have a complete Shakira renaissance going on. Her last couple Spanish songs all were great, and she had such a catalogue.

Wild that her This is Shakira on Spotify is 95 percent Spanish and doesn’t even contain her biggest English hits on the first 20 positions or so and barely all of them. At least in Germany.

It kind of feels like she is fully focusing on the Spanish market again now that everybody realize that it’s one that is important too. Happy to see that.

It’s amazing in general that she kept her career going for such a long time. She‘s one of the very few that managed to do that in a big way.

Let me preface this post by saying that she should totally be put in jail or whatever a judge decides to do with her if she's found guilty of any of these accusations, but there's been reports in the press for months now about how this entire thing might be more convoluted than meets the eye. These reports basically revolve around leads arrived at by some journalists where Piqué and his father would have created shell corporations in her name in tax havens behind her back with the aim of setting her up and getting rid of her, and she would have found out about all of this after the breakup. There were also reports about Piqué registering the family home under his father's name with the aim of kicking her out, which apparently ended up happening. Again, keep in mind that this is not coming from some rabid stan who wants his fave to be untouchable or whatever, but I thought this was all worth sharing. Especially because... well, Piqué is known by many people in Spain to be a... peculiar man, and these pieces of information have a very specific implication, if you know what I mean, particularly when you place it alongside her recent statements alluding to the state of... everything in her life during the relationship, her personal decisions lately (i.e. taking her kids with her to the States), the shady videos of her interactions with his mother, her behavioral changes during this decade, etc. I guess I better say all of this is *alleged* but... yeah.

She has the stupidest accountants and legal team in the world if true.

It does seem like it at surface level, but if true (and that is a big “if” for now, obviously), all of these reports work under the assumption that a) she didn’t know, and these moves were all being made deliberately behind her back, which leads me to the fact that b) he is a very powerful man with links to one of the most powerful (and corrupt) soccer teams in the world, and soccer is already even closely tied to politics in Spain due to the insane amounts of money it moves, which in turn makes me wonder c) to what degree she actually let her own life take the back seat during the relationship beyond neglecting her career. I guess we’re going to have to wait and see how everything plays out, but I thought I would share anyway because this information was already being reported on out there.
