Shygirl - "Heaven (feat. Tinashe)" + Nymph_o

This is 100% an album for headphones because in the car.. mud city. I even adjusted my sound settings & her vocals are BURIED. Kinda shocking considering how well produced they were on ALIAS.

Kay, I don’t want to be quadruple posting, so lemme condense some recent updates into this post:

Shy posted on OF that she is currently finishing the deluxe up and hoping to have it turned in before Christmas. The working title is Nymph_o, and she wants it and the Alias vinyl repress out by early Spring 2023. She previewed a new song for the deluxe called “Crush” which features Erika de Casier.

In other news, she’s doing something with Spotify UK today from the creative workshop she hosted last month

What a beautiful night that was. Obviously while not the optimal space for a concert in terms of dimensions, Printworks really gelled with the vibe of the gig

I think this woman is a literal angel. The connection with the crowd was tangible. The new songs really came alive; Poison, Firefly, Coochie and Honey sounded like the biggest songs in the world. Hearing absolute classics BB, BDE, Freak etc was incredible. The crowd was fantastic too, it just felt like everyone was so pleased to be sharing the moment.

My only small gripe was the omission of TWELVE and LENG.

Quite possibly my favourite of the 7 artists I’ve seen live this year.

Devastated that I missed the opening Woe!! Printworks just doesn’t work as a concert venue, took longer to get in than the O2 arena, the sound was so quiet at the back….uugghhh. Anyway show was excellent, loved mirror, video work and the strings at the end!!

Thought last night was pretty poor unfortunately, myself and my friends didn't even stay until the end.

Wrong venue for it, some deeply irritating people dotted around (giving me XCX pre-Crash war flashbacks), she just doesn't have the level of charisma or energy needed to fill a big club space like that. I've seen her multiple times now and it still feels very "go girl give us nothing, but now with strobe lights".

The album's cute, but think this'll be the last time I see her for a few years.

I've seen her last month and she's definitely not a stage type of artist, and while I don't mind it I understand why people could get upset. She's just presenting her music and having a good time and I honestly had a blast! But yeah she could start by working on singing the songs' lines until the end dd

Haven't been able to see her personally (yet), but I kind of like that she just vibes along to her music dd. Makes sense why she has Club Shy, since you're essentially just bopping with her. I imagine she'll get more comfortable doing more as time goes on. I do love that she's adding some proper visuals into the mix. She got a good review from the Guardian as well!

Fff sounds like she performs just like I would. Relatable legend.
