NOT at all. If you read earlier posts, I have defended her consistently. Her album is one of my top three of the year. I was trying to make the point about the meanness without being a total ass.

Why should Siobhan take songs by hitmakers? I just don't think she's that type of pop artist (hence leaving Babes). I don't think I'd even want to hear her doing that stuff. Her thing is her "baroque" style.

Unfortunately, a good actress she does not make.

Am I being unduly harsh. Not in my opinion. I went to see Rent and thought she was dire. Just because you're a good popstar doesn't mean you can translate to the West End.

Rumours of Jamelia replacing her make me shudder.

I thought she was one of the better actresses actually. She seemed to be making an effort anyway. Her voice sounded beautifully fragile and delicate once she got going aswell, I liked that she didn't approach the songs in a "musical theatre darling" style. Its good to see a performer with the right body shape to be playing the role aswell, I've seen some dam chunky junkie Mimi's in my time.

Jammy is replacing Denise Van Outen in the role of Maureen not Siobhan. Can You imagine Mimi with a brummy accent? Those psycho "RENTheads" would set the bloody theatre on fire.

Siobhan's artwork really is stunning. And is one of the reasons I love the CD so much. I'd like to see more popstars make a similar effort.

RENT is now closing on February 2nd! I still need to go see it!

This may hopefully mean Siobhan will recommence promotion for Ghosts in March or something! Here's hoping...

god she's amazing. i wish they would have done more with publicity, this is such a great undiscovered album, if only it were more popular! now that "rent remixed" is ending early, the poor girl will have nothing to do but promote, promote, promote! let's hope medevac will attract more people to this song. (Goldfish is really great, as well)

12 Bar Acid Blues was always one of my favourites off Ghosts, there's something bout the simplicity of it that makes it so appealing.
It could have been huge, if simple little Foundations could be huge then so could have 12 Bar Acid Blues.

all i can think about as i listen to the old sugababes songs was that keisha was just jealous and insecure of siobhan, who used to basically sing lead when she was in the group. her voice has such a beautiful, subtle quality to it. on top of that, she looks like a high fashion model.

I was just coming here to post about my love for "12 Bar Acid Blues" - all the tracks on the album really grew on me, but the lyrics and chorus on "12 Bar" are just superb.

I can't believe I love "Ghosts" as much as I did- I thought I wouldn't like it at all when I downloaded it based on "So You Say" alone, but one listen later and I was at Amazon, having it sent to my house as fast as possible. It's one of my favorite albums of the year and I think it could have spawned four moderately successful singles. Here's hoping "Medevac" does some damage on the charts.
