- People were asking the leaker to stop, as apparently Cathy had said she would have no motivation to push for a deluxe edition of the album if the leaks keep happening since she's already fighting to ensure the label doesn't scrap the entire project.
- Part of her frustration is apparently about UMG not funding the album how she wants them to, in terms of roll out, and that part of the delay has been the struggle to get the label to approve the lead single.

Guessing this is what was going on a few months ago. It sounds like everything is fine now? She seems to have just filmed the video for the single and is teasing things happening very soon. She recently tweeted (then deleted) that the visuals for the album are exactly as she envisioned them in contrast to Troubled Paradise, which she called a "covid era shitshow". I saw there's also been talk of her leaving Fader after this record, though, which might be part of why she wants this to be as good as she can make it.
A second album in a row plagued bt leaks though, it has been tough for her. She truly needs to find out the source (i.e. where have the songs been uploaded that some gay has access to).
It was pretty obvious to me something was going on behind the scenes for her to be performing Hollywood/Erotic Electronic last summer and the album containing both of them still isn't out a year later. I really can't wait to give her my coin with merch and multiple copies this go-around, especially if it means she can leave the label and have more control.

She was teasing an entirely different project in 2021/early 2022, and has said the album changed pretty drastically since then. So I don’t think that was necessarily down to the record label or anything happening behind the scenes beyond her simply deciding to take things in a different direction. She probably decided not to rush it since she was in the middle of touring anyway.

Ew, that's so annoying. They're saying they're going to leak the whole album too. I'm just hoping it's already been sent off to be pressed for vinyl so the label won't scrap it all.

I’m praying there’s some sort of announcement for both the single and album next week. Tease it on Monday and Tuesday. Announce the single on Wednesday for a release that Friday with the album pre-order. I’m begging.
