Reading some of the posts made by POC in this thread, voicing their disappointment at yet another white (female) pop star being problematic, has been a bit sobering this morning. Like with the Camila situation, it's not my place to tell whether her apology is genuine/good enough ... but when an apology fails to address the people you've actually hurt, it probably isn't.
I really liked Slayyyter's album, but at the same time I feel like nothing of value was lost. I'm also ... not surprised at all, for some reason. Lemme replace her album in my playlist with someone else.
