It might work if they stray as far as possible away from Clarkson's original version....NOBODY can sing any of her songs even half as good as she can. Simon would rip them to shreds if they weren't his own act.

I don't like the idea of TreyC doing Purple Rain. I love her, but it will never be as good as Ruth's and will probably just seem like a copy of it.

Updates:Cher apparently is doing Hard Knock Life which is a good choice for her weak rapping and vocals.Really hope Treyc can do something with PR I imagine Cheryl is really hoping she will be out early.

I was looking forward to Cher doing Ghetto Gospel, not sure how Hard Knock Life will work... I wish we could get a week where she doesn't rap, I don't want her to be thought of as a one trick pony.

Did Danyl not do Purple Rain last year I think someone did it.Ruth did an amazing PR in 08 not sure if Treyc can do as well, vocally her lower register is her weakest.I hope she does not become the big ballad Queen.

OH THE Glee version of MYWSWY could work for One Direction. The boys second verse harmony sounded awsome, if they could pull it off. So I think it could work as long as Hary doesn't attempt Lea's ad lib in the last chorus!
