The time has come (again), everyone! After a few grueling months waiting in the rate queue (and thanks to a few delayed rates) #soon! is back in the shape of Part Deux - The Girl Band Signature Songs Rate. What makes a signature song, you ask? Well, the short answer to that would always be a song you associate with or define an act to the extent that it becomes part of your DNA to shout ‘Lady Marmalade by Labelle!’ at strangers if they didn't know the song/band in question already!
In this instance though, some of our acts have already had their signature song rated through their debut in Part 1, so instead they get a song that was almost as successful to represent them. Decades are not a deciding factor here for inclusion, as acts featuring from part 1 could easily have had their 'signature hit' in a later decade. A couple of acts were also given a chance to be represented by multiple numbers due to the many iconic moments in their repertoire necessitating extra time in the spotlight. In a couple of instances we swapped the entry of an act for something that appeals to the PopJustice crowd a bit more so to give said act a better chance on a Samedi!
Additions or extras have also been added to feature a couple of classic acts or songs that would not have a chance to be discussed on PopJustice across rates or song contests if not for featuring here! The song list for Part Deux is thus:
