#soon! Part Un - The 60s-00s Girl Band Debut Breakthrough Rate

He/Him
UPDATE

Added the Alternate Links for Girls Aloud and The Saturdays as per @Zar-Unity's links and his advice that the original links did not work in his region.

The first week of voting has gone (as per the thread title edit also) and so far things are still up for quite drastic play on that leaderboard! The eras are spread out quite nicely along the spreasheet so none is suffering an unfair 'trolling' fate as of yet. Many things are currently tied and with a few more voters, I am sure a clearer picture will emerge.

In the meantime - anyone interested in the origin of girl bands and what not can check this very comprehensive wikipedia page!

Bananarama Greatest Hits Collection still in the UK top 10 best selling girl group albums after 30 years.

Amazing.

In the interest of keeping the thread alive even while everyone's just mulling over their scores, let us continue celebrating some of the other girl band debuts that couldn't make the contest itself, ok?

Howzabout The Runaways, whose debut single did go to number one -- in Japan:

I also recommend the Dakota Fanning / Kristen Stewart movie, which I enjoyed a lot...

Very interesting! I thought The Runaway's would have charted higher in America.
Gotta love a hot blonde and spunky attitude as the lead singer.

I don't know how high this next all girl band charted, in their respective country "Germany", and in the rest of the world, but I really like them, and the pretty blonde, lead singer Bernadette La Hengst, who later went on to have a pretty decent solo career, as a alternative electropop and indie artist, writing and producing all of her own songs..

Die Braut Haut Ins Auge (The brides skin in eye)

Ah but which one's the debut/breakthrough single then?
I think their 1991 single, self-titled "Die Braut haut ins Auge", but it is not on youtube.

Edit: Oh no, wait, you said "breakthrough single", probably their 1994 album single "Alles was mir fehlt".
