Looks like that decade found its defenders after all!

Don't forget the handful of absolute classics in there! ;)
I'm rooting for one of those songs in particular so I'll be very happy if it does well here.

I was thinking the other day about what a 2010s list would look like. I guess it would include Little Mix, Fifth Harmony, Haim, G.R.L., Icona Pop, Stooshe, Girls Can't Catch and Neon Jungle... but apart from the first three in that list none of them have actually achieved a consistent level of success comparable to, say, the '80s or '90s groups, and I can't think of any more groups who would even be eligible. I'd struggle to name 12 groups that have actually had their first top 20 hit in the UK, US or Australia this decade.

Maybe the next two years will fix that?

(With the exception of Fifth Harmony and Little Mix) who's to blame? People's lack of taste or labels that don't promote them much?

My first instinct would be thrilled I could give G.R.L. an 11, but checking their discography, "Wild Wild Love" was technically released before "Ugly Heart" in 2014 ... however "Wild Wild Love" was actually Pitbull's song they featured on so it wouldn't count and "Ugly Heart" could win another rate.

Probably both. It was only when Little Mix and Fifth Harmony took off that labels even seemed to bother with girl groups, and even then it’s not been a stellar decade for getting labels behind groups.

Even Parade (who managed a top ten debut single) quickly vanished without trace, and Stooshe’s album release delays were just painful to watch.

Not with the zero I would probably have given it. I was way too generous to it in your rate.
