Nope. It didn’t even make the top 100 in the US and I don’t think it was released in the UK!

They never even came close to having a hit. Their fame now is mostly from their association with Prince and the mess that was Vanity.

  • "Released in 1982, "Nasty Girl" by Vanity 6 spent a record seven weeks at number 101, but never cracked the Billboard Hot 100."
Poor Vanity :(

I don't think it's productive at this point to keep suggesting additional songs to be included in this rate. The list certainly isn't comprehensive and there are other acts that would technically qualify (or favorites/memorable songs that you'd think from first glance would qualify, but don't), but it's the list @berserkboi chose and wants to have in his rate.

Oh no mine wasn't a suggesting. More like a reminder of one of my favorite girl group acts. I'm perfectly happy with Berserboi's list, been listening to it for days.

I'm just happy that I can use my Saturdays' gifs in another thread

Vanity 6 did fairly well in a round of PJOPS (the pre-2000 PJ song contest) last year with He’s So Dull. Perhaps you should come participate in the next round when it opens (which could be as soon as next week). We can always use more underrated classics!

What changes have been made? I was just done with rating the songs and was gonna go back & listen to them again before adding a bit of commentary.

If you're using the Spotify playlist, the only change is that Heart has been replaced with Baccara. None of the audio has been changed for Spotify. Only the YouTube links have changed.
