Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Hana

The thing about Sophie’s music is - whatever she does, whether it’s indie rock, Russian folk, EDM, trance, orchestral music, disco pop - it all sounds distinctly Sophie! So, despite my initial reservations (when I looked up Wuh Oh and Sega Bodega’s music), I have a feeling this will end up sounding good. Also, it is nice that she’s exploring new sounds.

All that said, I’m quite confused with Hypnotised. If it’s not an Ed Harcourt produced song, is it a collaborative release with Wuh Oh and Sega? Or is it just a non-album single that she’s putting out there, because the album is taking longer than expected? Or did she actually invite more people to produce the album with Ed?

I just wish it is at least 30 seconds longer. The live performance seems to be at/under the 3 minute mark.

Ed could be arranging the live music but the songs could still have a different producer?

The song about aliens is something I’m looking forward to. Also, Pablo posted something about the craziest guitar solo he was allowed to play on Alan album - which I think will be very interesting.
