It was euroboy, I don't actually listen to 'gaydar radio'.breakfast2 said:UnderPressure said:Well this campaign is off to a good start isn't it? Why premier your song on a high profile station when you could just give it to an off-the-radar one practically nobody listens to, unannounced. Hurrah!
Well at least 1 person - that boy is a monster - listens to it! If he hadn't it would have gone totally un-noticed.

Maybe I should start.

Please don't, I think Richard and the one with body dysmorphia from Big Brother have a show on it.
So is it less aggressive than 'Heartbreak'? Less dark? More light? I mean, that's how I feel about 'The One.'passionoia said:It's really good.
Though the backing track is VERY similar to "The One", it was almost as good as sampling it. However there are some great touches that make it more interesting and the actual song playing over the top is much better.
Missed the beginning though (got a message shouting to put gaydar radio on)... and I'm not sure if this is the radio edit but from a DJ promo, it seemed a bit longer than your typical radio edit.

Is that bit from the club recording in there? Like the slightly Eurythmics-esque bit?passionoia said:Erm....dominic spez said:So is it less aggressive than 'Heartbreak'? Less dark? More light? I mean, that's how I feel about 'The One.'passionoia said:It's really good.

It's much more melodic than both, more like a proper song so to speak. It's actually quite musical.
It's less aggressive than "Heartbreak" but I dunno about less 'dark', there are some dramatic touches (someone mentioned before the Freemasons mix of "Here Comes The Rain", I did get that a bit).
The only comparison to "The One" is this part of the backing track that sounds EXACTLY the same, like I said it almost sounds like it's a sample but what's been written and produced around it is quite different.
But this is from one listen bare in mind.
In what ways is it different from 'Heartbreak'? I'm only worried about it sounding like she had 2 heavy club Freemasons tracks as singles right in a row.euroboy said:whoops, should have lingered to tell all on the song hehe
i can confirm the amazingness is not down to me being excited at hearing new sophie material - the song is genuinely AMAZING! after the song was played the dj said it was with the freemasons (not sure if freemasons did the radio mix). it does sound alot like kylie's "the one", and it also has another kylie similarity, as it samples the drum beats from new order's "blue monday". oh, and i expected "heartbreak" part 2, but its not that much like it after all.
this is a much better comeback single than i expected!
10/10
