Spice Girls - SpiceWorld 2019 Tour Thread

I'll post my full review later on but I have a question for the ones in the Spice Circle on the 15th...did you experience the worst audio as well or it was just the point were I was standing that was so awful (audio wise)? Can't believe it was so bad on the last date.

The sound was quite muffled. Luckily Jess Glynne was mostly inaudible but it would have been nice to have had a bit of clarity of sound during the Spice Girls' main set. However I also think that's just stadium sound. I've never heard clear or loud sound in a stadium.

Yeah I don’t think there is a sweet spot for the sound engineers that make it perfect throughout the stadium. Fixing it in one place will bugger it up in another place, and the open air element doesn’t help as the way wind behaves is strange so the sound gets moved around.

he/him
I was on the left hand side of the stage in lower tier seats and the sound was perfect. I'm guessing a lot of the issues is probably just because it's a stadium - how the sound travels will cause problems. I think there's also sound coming from the stage as well as speakers in the centre of the stadium which might interfere with each other. During Jess's set I noticed that it was quite echo-y because I heard her from the stage to my left, and then the sound slightly delayed from the right. That resolved itself as the crowds came in though as I guess it absorbs a bit more? Who knows.

Sorry but this is bullshit.

I've been to many concert in stadium and I've never experienced something like this. The audio was not there, I couldn't hear a word they were singing or saying, the whole concert was basically me and the other people around me in the circle singing our hearts out, that's what I've heard.
The echo coming from the back of the stadium was another issue aswell.

The question about V making a show was brought up and Mel very directly said her parents came to a show, but that “she was a bit sad” so she didn’t go.

It's not bullshit.

Stadiums are notorious for this problem. If you have 80,000 people singing at the top of their voices, word for word, the vocals are going to be more difficult to hear in some parts of the stadium.

There's a very good expert analysis here for those that haven't read it :

I'm not saying it's easy or that stadiums don't have problems, what I'm saying is that I expected more from a Spice Girls concert.
I mean the sound was really so bad and I was in the "best" part of the stadium. A good sound engineer would know better than that.

Probably regret. Seeing the huge success it was, seeing the four girls have an absolute scream, seeing the fans kitted out in Spice wear. I’d be gutted if I initially said no and saw what this tour became.

But what always bothered me is that I never felt that she shared the same love for performing with the other girls, she always looked very uncomfortable on stage during the 2007 tour. I have no doubt she loves the Spice Girls and what they’ve accomplished together, but I’ve always thought that the main reason why she turned down this tour was because she doesn’t like to perform anymore or it gives her too much anxiety, or maybe because it would “hurt her brand”
