Spice Girls

I won't pretend to be a financial expert but Victoria's true value as a "fashion designer" goes far beyond the losses on the balance sheet of her own fashion companies. Her work feeds into the Beckhams' status as a power couple, "Brand Beckham", where the real money is. Neither Victoria nor David would be as successful without the other, and that's where Victoria's fashion endeavours could be seen as a loss leader.

Umm, regarding her clothing brand ''BBH reported net profits of £19.1 million on revenues of £34.3 million in 2021, up from £11.6 million and £11.4 million the year before''.
In 2020, the brand made 11.4 million in profit on 11.6 million in revenue? So she sold 200k of clothing at a 5800% markup?

There’s definitely some funny money accounting going on, probably because as others have pointed out, fashion is just one leg of their brand.

See, I read this as it meaning that this year in Net Profit, Victoria made 19 Million, last year in net profit she made 11.6 Million and the year before that she made 11.4 Million.

Maybe the original post wasn’t clear but that’s how I interpreted it at, but I could be wrong.

-me dropping by for my bi-monthly check-in on all things Spice Girls only to read you all talking about profit and loss like it's an episode of Dragon's Den-

The coronation will be a bigger deal for their international profile (televised and widely watched worldwide, bleh) compared to Glastonbury or last year’s Jubilee.

This just popped up on my YouTube feed and I don’t think it was posted here before, just someone commenting on what she said.

Mel B talks a little about the PTSD she still suffers following the domestic abuse she experienced. She also mentioned all 5 Spice Girls got together recently and something will be announced soon hopefully. She looks really well and was very articulate speaking about an emotive topic.

Mel B always says something is coming soon. Somehow the King's Coronation thing feels a lot more likely and more "Spice Girls" to me than Glastonbury though. Let's be honest, they've always been tories, royalists and in with the establishment. I think only Mel C would prefer to do Glastonbury over the two and I could actually see Victoria being dragged out for the King's shindig.

They didn't even perform at Glastonbury in their heyday and if they had I daresay they would've been bottled like Daphne and Celeste at Reading. It's funny the organisers want them now when they would've thought them a joke back in the day.
