Spice Girls

We can critic them all we want, but it's such circle jerk here.
We know you want more and some act like they deserve more, while nobody doesn't.
So they put out some nice montage video and half the posts are whining they want more. Get on with it.

They mean more to me than any musical act but as far as I’m concerned the group ended in 2000 and everything we’ve gotten since has been a bonus. Even though the anniversary editions sucked I’ve enjoyed revisiting the albums and I appreciate the new bits of content

Gonna sound quite entitled as I say. But like with all music artists there is some debt to pay to the fans. As without the fans acts wouldn't be where they are (in part).
Other acts nowadays appreciate and respect their fandoms and offer so much.
Said this before but my love for Spiceworld has decreased a lot. And in reality they only have 3 albums worth of material. Why not just throw everything (as they are NOT giving us everything) from those eras.
It would be a lot different if they were continuing to release new music but they are not and they don't want to. They are becoming a very one trick pony in the music industry. Which is a shame as originally they were very unique.

I still love them and they are still very special to me. I just feel very short changed and uninspired by them. And hoddie's like this is quite disrespectful.

I hope they wake up again one day!

Okay but everything the fans gave them they gave voluntarily because they wanted to.
The whole 'after everything I did for you..' attitude is not healthy in any context. If you only invest in an artist in hopes it somehow gets 'repaid' just don't.
I mean, paying 100 bucks for a show and then expecting it to be good/of a decent length: fair.
Feeling they owe you anything at all because you bought their albums and merch 2 decades ago? You paid for what you got then. That doesn't mean you own a part of them or they owe you anything for the rest of their lives.

i think this is the key, do something good or do nothing. I would rather they just stay an iconic act and leave trying to 'keep up' but they do stuff...take the time to sort it...but it's lame, so for me it poses the question, "Why do it?". Does that make sense? With their celebrity clout they could have so many ideas for promo, fan pressies to keep everyone happy and Spicy until they tour again. It's just weird to do something, but do so so lamely?

We deserve not to be treated like idiots by them and that’s where my issue lies. I’d rather have absolutely nothing from them again over what their output has been.

To be perfectly honest all I hope for is one final studio album. Whether with Victoria or not. I want something studio recorded to finish their chapter as a group. Something created from a place of mutual love. I hate Forever being their last studio album so much.

I’d take that over another tour anyday.

New quote from Miss Brown

She exclusively told The Sun: “My theory is that if I say it enough, it will happen. But actually we are planning on releasing a statement.

“What that is, I can't say right now because we're just finishing off perfecting what we're going to be doing together, all five of us, but it's going to be something that the fans are really going to love.”

When asked how they persuaded Victoria to come back, she replied, “Well, it's not even about convincing her. I mean she dressed me and my mum for when I got my MBE, so we've kind of always been in contact.

“It’s not like none of us are speaking together, we've all got a group WhatsApp, but it's just about timing.

“She was really busy doing her fashion line and supporting David with his moves and his career and obviously she's got a bunch of kids so it's just about finding the right time.

“And we've managed to do that so there should be an announcement pretty soon.”

Despite the slight let down over Spiceworld 25, one thing I will say is that listening to the album (again!) over this past 25th anniversary period, made me more certain than ever that the music itself still holds up. Truly one of the best pop albums of all time. That will never change for me.
Slight letdown is an understatement. They used versions of live songs ripped from YouTube. No unreleased tracks. No demos of any singles or album tracks. They also didn't celebrate the movie in any way.

Yes, they don't owe us anything. It's frustrating because there is so much more they could be doing for their legacy.
