Spice Girls

Surely the easiest thing for them to do as a 5 would be to record new music? A tour can be very time consuming and involve lots of travel and time away from home and family. Whereas they could all quite easily write/record music from home over Zoom and even record remotely if they didn't want to be seen in studios etc. Then it gives them all a lot more time and flexibility.
But they'd have to want it and I just don't get that aside from Emma and Melanie B the rest are all that fussed.

And, as pointed out above, it's probably Emma and Melanie B that have more to gain from doing something Spice related again. Everyone else seems very happy and busy and not in need of going back there.

I saw it pop up on my Twitter feed and thought I’d share since I have it. For those of you in the US that haven’t grabbed a Spiceworld vinyl, or you need a holiday gift, the black vinyl appears to be free on Sound of Vinyl at the minute. That doesn’t include shipping, though.

But the minute they record new music everyone will expect them to tour??
New music wise I just don’t think they are interested at all.. and tbh once I get out of my selfish stan head .. I don’t blame them? There’s nothing to gain. As much as big pop stars pledge a legion to their fans they also don’t wanna do things that aren’t going to gain them notoriety or money, sadly.

Will they maybe reunite for Glastonbury for it to make world headlines (VB especially) and to tick off their list of girl power achievements? Possibly.

Will they spend the money and time it takes to record a brand new album that might not reach musical heights of their Stellar catalogue? For little to no profit? Probably no.

I’m the biggest spice fan along with you all but I think expectations need to be lowered regarding ‘new material being the easiest route’ when it definitely isn’t.

Touring the greatest hits may be a re tread for us hardcores, but they want appeal to the masses for money and that means touring the hits. It’s a gain gain.

I just don't see it in them to have the urge of ever putting out new music as a 5-piece again. 16 years ago, maybe, and we saw how that went.

Reading that Headlines was 16 years ago has shaken me. It's such a shame that that comeback tour was so great, all the pieces were there, and they screwed the pooch with new music. They easily could have continued to tour the world and at least release one more album at the time.

I don't see the stars aligning for new music again if they couldn't deliver at that point in time. Maybe there's infinite supply of nostalgia excitement for them to tour the same show rejigged over and over, intermittently, forever... but I doubt it.

Very much enjoyed the Forever era documentary by @bonnieetclyde last night. Despite the many shortcomings with this era (if you can even call it that given how short it was) and the Girls lack of interest for most part (for various and at times, understandable reasons), I am still glad we got this album. Holler, Tell Me Why, Right Back At Ya and If You Wanna Have Some Fun, all still slap.
