I had the same thought however, I’m clinging onto hope as they have more unreleased material for this era than say ‘Spice World’.
Even if they mastered some of the leaks, like ‘Pain Proof’, ‘A Day In Your Life’ and ‘If It’s Lovin’ on Your Mind’ then I’d be happy and with the absence of Geri, it would seem more of a possibility.
Money, probably! She didn’t exactly recoup any costs for Melanie C with the limited post-Covid tour-run, and costs for producing music have only increased. Good that she’s been so actively in the festival circuit the past few years though.
I’d also guess that there’s been a few start-stops in Spice World. Whatever happened to that animation anyway?
It got cancelled. No investors I guess. It was just Victoria's and Simon Fuller's project anyway that they wanted to earn from the brand without lifting a finger. Or still said that they were still a part of the Spice girls when the other four went touring.

This is basically the MO for the band at the moment. While they're shilling us with pyjamas, picnic blankets, Rubix's Cubes and £20 socks, they've got no real reason to put any real effort in and record music or tour. That's why I'm kind of out of love with them at the moment - they've got no actual passion for the group, they just want to wring their supporters dry.

It’s why the girls as a group never feature higher in the end of year ‘Spotify Unwrapped’. I feel other artists put on the effort and as much as I love the girls, listening to their music at times, currently, it’s not an essential daily listen for me.
