Spotify

Only just discovered this yesterday and yes, it is pretty amazing and addictive. And what's better is that it is totally free!

Got quite a wide variety of stuff too. In fact it's got nearly everything.

what they really need to do is get a way of having it on your ipod. or maybe make a spotify player. that would kill itunes.

It's extensive as hell...I just went off on a Samantha Mathis tangent (see the Super Mario Bros thread in Movies) I found Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf) by the Pixies, Almost Unreal by Roxette and the complete OSTs and Scores of American Psycho & Broken Arrow.

It is mightily impressive.

Obsessed.

If you don't already own everything Pixies have ever released, please stop what you are doing and go out and buy all their CDs immediately.

I've pondered making a thread about this before. When we've all been talking about downloading illegally and what the music industry needs to do to stop that urge, this is basically the answer. It's like a free iTunes, except you can't get the actual files and move them around. The library of music is always growing, as well.

ESPECIALLY for pop, they've got almost everything. Even single releases with b-sides.

I've heard so much about it but haven't really bothered listening to what people said.
Isn't it full of annoying commercials?

Sorry, but what exactly is it? I'm using my rather old, very slow PC at the moment and I'm not gonna risk crashing it by downloading some fancy flash-type program...
