Square Enix - FFXIV: Dawntrail

I just reached the end of Chapter 12.. and the end of Aerith’s performance where Jessie and AVALANCHE appear as spirits made me tear up. The song was also really nice, reminds me a lot of the old 90’s themes, Eyes On Me and Melodies Of Life. Apparently it was based on Mariah’s performance of ‘Without You’ at the Tokyo Dome in the 90’s?

Also, ugh, Loren Allred has such an amazing voice, even if it doesn’t quite fit Aerith.

I think the song was initially inspired by Without You but then nothing came out of it. The interview is great because they were so relaxed and honest, just joking around.

Nojima is being harassed on Twitter by some fans because he revealed the song is about Aerith's burden as a Cetra and her love for everyone she knows, not just Cloud or Zack but also Elmyra, Infalna, even Barret and Tifa.

Why can't people accept what devs say is beyond me.

I agree, it really doesn't fit Aerith's voice but Loren is an amazing singer.

Chapter 10

I thought Gongaga was a pain to navigate but so is Cosmo Canyon with all the flying around, there are few things that could have been clearer.

Its nice that they expanded Gi tribe and especially Cetra since there wasn't much in the OG.

Also, nice that one of the intels showed more of Avalanche happier days, them getting drunk while Tifa was learning the Cosmo Canyon drink.

They released a patch, the sidequest glitch in Gold Saucer is fixed. Also, I will post this as a spoiler just in case, its great they still think of small things like these:

They fixed Stamp - it was terrier instead of beagle

Oh good! Not that I think I'll ever manage 32000 points but it was putting me off from even attempting.

I've just started Final Fantasy 16. Not sure what this trend for FF casts to be pale, male and stale is recently, especially when you've got the FFVII looking so diverse. I'm enjoying the setting though. Not so keen on real time action though.

Rebirth Ch. 11:

Its interesting that Cloud rembers Zack, its not a fully correct memory but he remembers. Its also a neat little thing that, if you talked to Zack in Niblehelm flashback, the grunt on the right, he says exact same thing during Cloud's remembering Zack at the inn, how he bets Cloud wants to hear about his girlfriend.

I see some people criticizing Tifa. While I get she could have said that is not what happened in the river, its like people forget Cloud almost killed her a day ago, she is the only one that saw his behavior before the fall, how menacing and coldblooded he was while killing the enemies around. It makes sense to me she didn't want to push him any further. Everyone knows something is off, even Barret.

Now Cait Sith and boxes, aaaargh. Its not that bad but I need to figure out how to throw the one in the damn generator. Not everything has to be a minigame, the robot thingy during Cosmo Canyon relic sidequest was also a pain but it wasn't hard at least.

I am starting the game late, because I was getting Platinum on Elden Ring, and I am really enjoying the experience but I am also finding it super bloated. I have terrible game OCD where I can't push forward with the story until I feel like I am done with everything in the area, but it's going to drive me insane on Rebirth because there's so much to do in each area. I need to come up with better mechanisms to move on in games, because this is the main reason I keep leaving stuff unfinished.

I say do the intels and the quests - it will take you a while but still manageable (with the added perk that you’ll level up and the boss battles will be a bit less intense) but only come back to high score the mini games later.

Going back to FF16 again to play the new DLC after being snatched bald by Rebirth.

I stopped playing weeks ago during the throwing boxed cat mission. Scared to jump back in.
I found a solution on Youtube for that generator - don't stand where there is an opening, instead go right and hop on the cabinet or whatever it is there, the point is cat can stand on it so its much easier to throw the box.
