Ffffff my electric bill for March just arrived and it's a record high and the only reason I can think of is because I was home all month and played Rebirth so much
I did it.I stopped playing weeks ago during the throwing boxed cat mission. Scared to jump back in.
so I finished the game
im a firm believer that this game is incredible and I adore it. However, the death scene and post-boss is really lacking emotional punch, certainly in comparison to the original. A few tears and everyone jogs on? Ohbut Cloud can still see her??
Very confusing and the wind was really taken out of the emotional punch of what is one of the most iconic game scenes ever. It’s a real shame and a deflating end to what was otherwise a whirlwind of a game.
I also just finished the game today. It's very good, but I gotta agree with most of the criticism voiced in professional reviews and around here. It certainly is stretched out, the open world sections become super formulaic and some of these mini-games...the less said the better (love Queen's Blood though).Having no nostalgia for the original and having loved Remake, I found Rebirth a bit of a slog. I finished it last weekend after close to 60 hours really wanted it over by the end. The endless mini games, unnecessarily large open world and dragged out chapters really pulled it back from greatness. The Cait Sith box section is one of the most tedious gaming sections I've ever come across.
The story ending also felt really confusing and lacked any emotional weight for me. If they had just stuck to the original's scenario it would have been far more powerful.
The trauma from that section.THAT SAID, Aerith's earlier trial section - trying to find someone to help Ifalna as a child - hit me like a ton of bricks. By far the most emotional moment of the game for me.
I still have to play the RS1 remake remaster! Owned for a bit but just haven't had a chance. Finally beat the original SNES Romancing SaGa after so many years of waiting for a fan translation and then finally being bothered to do it. I have the Super Famicom original in my collection somewhere, but as it was in Japanese I was never able to fully enjoy it and would continuously get lost ddd but here's my lovely party in the ending sequence.
It is for sure my favorite FF since X (which I consider my favorite game of all time)
