St. Vincent - Masseduction

First off I really like it. Also do the synths on Sugarboy sound kind of like Future Lovers by Madonna sped up to anyone? (not that it's a bad thing).

Holy hell this album. Can I get one week where my scalp isn't ripped off by someone? Wolf Alice, then Kelela, now this...

This is good! Never listened to her before. Am definitely understanding the Garbage references.

Yes she did.

As well as from the New York Times. I'm perched to see how many die-hards (white straight men) will dislike how blatantly pop this is.

Annie is kind one of the acceptable crushes for hipster men like them, though. She's kind of their sex symbol, so their interest is still there, methinks. They'll just have to make more obscure references in their reviews to balance their love of a pop record.

This is pretty damn fantastic. I've only ever heard her self titled record, which I liked but I only took away a handful of tracks. This... it's something really quite special.

I'm so glad others are hearing the Prince and Madonna comparisons, though I got a lot more of a hyper-Confessions sound than Ray of Light, though I can comprehend why one may compare it to the latter too.
