Steps - General Discussion

There was some hints a few weeks ago that they were up for doing festivals as that’s something they haven’t really done. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do Brighton next year - I hope so anyway as I already have tickets for (last year/this year/next year)

Maybe the unknown track is next years Eurovision entry... I think they aren’t allowed to be announced or available before 1st September so timings work.

I kid, but imagine.

I’ve always said next year would work with a “everyone’s said they wanted us to do it since year one, now it’s our 25th anniversary year we’ve said OK”
War of the worlds finishes in April.

I still can’t see it happening and hope it doesn’t.

After last night’s result, I’m even more sure I don’t want them to do it. H still seems very much up for it, Faye does not.

I was just thinking, at least this will put the Eurovision question to bed once and for all. I think if we did sort of ok they may have been persuaded but there’s no way any of them would want to risk a nil points situation.

Though it would be interesting if they did do it purely as a song like Keiino’s Spirit in the Sky literally takes cues from Scared of the Dark and the public voted for Keiino......?

I just think, with a 24 year old established band like Steps, it needs to be a dead cert that you’re going to win Eurovision or you shouldn’t take part at all. And since Steps are a UK band, let’s go for the latter so we can enjoy the fact that they’re on the right side of “laughing stock” these days.
