In addition to new remixes, I would love cleaned up tour versions of all of their hits. Surely that's a good way to do a Taylor Swift and have a chance to own their masters, thereby earning more from their back catalog?
This Samsung promo has surely fallen a bit flat considering the flash mob video has been up for a month and nobody noticed until now. I love the Deeper Shade of Blue remix though, my first thought like others was that it could be a new remix for the 25th anniversary.

I’m not a fan of remixes, particularly if they’re really dancey. I like the MattPop remix if Say You’ll Be Mine and the Initial Talk remix of Take Me For A Ride. I also don’t like them to be too long haha. However, I know lots of people love remixes. I wouldn’t want just a remix album but as a second/third disc on a new Greatest Hits, that’s be fine. I was thinking they should release a double A-Side for the album (I know people say that’s not possible but they don’t exactly make a dent in the singles chart nowadays anyway). They should release the two most popular songs from the last albums, which I reckon would be Glitter and Gold (although I’d prefer Happy) and To The One.
I mean, if we could get a new single I wouldn't opt for 'one of the songs from their previous albums'
As much as I adore To The One with all my heart, the time has passed for it to be a single. Anything “new” needs to actually be new now.
It needs to be that Topham Twigg song that's a career best... surely they cannot have meant Take Me for a Ride.
I'm gonna pray it's at least better than a large part of Part 2 because knowing Steps 25 was coming they wouldn't waste a killer track on what was basically a bonus album.
I did wonder if The Slightest Touch was intended for the Steps 25 era, which led to the ‘Track 11’ mystery. I had heard there were three tracks in the running, so maybe these will be added to the hits package. But yes, let’s have that Deeper Shade Of Blue remix soon, thanks!
Wouldn't be like Taylor though, she's very publicly in dispute with Scooter. So has the backing to boost her re-records. Steps aren't going to have that outside the fanbasse, they're unlikely to record versions that will replace/devalue the existing versions for the wider public. They probably own their recent stuff though.
Would make sense to keep the “best” tracks from the 2nd round of recordings for some sort of 25th anniversary release.
I have to say I quite like the new dance move for ‘I’m’ in Deeper Shade of Blue. Fist up in the air. Would it be sacrilegious to change it permanently?
