It's a more interesting watch with the additional footage. It would've been a brilliant and better version without the filter and flame effects.

Incidentally, did we know that there were different versions of the 5,6,7,8 video?
Remastering the line-dancing smash hit 5, 6, 7, 8 presented a lot of challenges because the only available copies of the music video were on analogue tape known as Beta SP.
Analogue tape can lose a bit of quality every time it is copied - and 5, 6, 7, 8 had been copied a lot of times!
Shortly after its release in 1997, the record label decided to make some changes to the music video. The editors took the analogue tape into an edit suite, tinkered with it, and then put the improved video back on to analogue tape.
It looked fine in 1997 - but the resulting copy was not a great source to remaster in 2022.
So, we searched the Sony Music archive to find the original rushes from the music video shoot.
We found two Beta SP tapes with all the rushes from the shoot: the clearest copies of the material we could find.
We then recut the video shot-by-shot and cleaned up any dust, film scratches and tape sparkling before upscaling the video to high definition.

What excellent source of plenty of old videos?? (Shame about the logo though, but still.. wish I kept a list of ones unavailable on Youtube)
Yes The Video Pool is where I got a lot of my 90s/00s videos from. Originally released on VHS, but have been using this digital source to revamp some for my channel lately.

Definitely some great stuff! Although I notice sometimes not all of the videos listed under a video are in it (was so excited to finally see the Solid Harmonie ones in decent quality)
That is just a take from the rushes that Steps shared on YouTube shorts, it wasn't an alternate version.

Me too. As everyone knows, I’ve wanted Faye front and centre for a long time. However, I think Faye being there with her arms up looks like she’s the main one.
I'm in Spain and mine was delivered on Tuesday.
This was the only version ever released in Australia- the three differences are:
1. There are no ‘toilet’ closeups of the girls in the first chorus, instead it’s longer shots on the girls and boys driving (including some car dancing from Claire) 2. There is no choreography in the second chorus; instead you get the girls closeups and footage of the boys parking their quad bikes 3.In the third chorus, there is a shot of a long haired guy right after ‘...driving me crazy’ that’s not in the official/ UK video
